As consumers of goods such as groceries, clothing, furniture and other household items and necessities, we are in constant need of information about what to do with stuff we no longer need or want.

Before you reach the point of placing something in the trash, we hope you will find useful suggestions throughout the Town of Arlington’s Zero Waste Guide for donation, borrowing/sharing, reuse, and recycling.

This guide includes everything you need to know to dispose of items in your home:

• • Curbside recycling & trash program rules
  • Curbside program: How it works
  • RecycleSmart
  • 2024-2025 Program Highlights
  • Borrow instead of buy!
  • Reuse & Recycling Center & Swap Shed
  • Drop off, donate, borrow
