Ditch the single-use bottle. Find your tap. Arlington’s got you covered.
Two new Arlington on Tap refill stations have opened at Parallel Playground and Arlington High School’s Peirce Field — bringing the town’s total to seven free public hydration stations.
Since 2022, Zero Waste Arlington and Town of Arlington leaders have been quietly building something worth celebrating: a town-wide network of clean, free drinking water, powered by the MWRA’s fresh water supply. It started with a bold move — banning the retail sale of single-use plastic water bottles under 1 liter — and the refill stations are the natural next step.
The network grows as Arlington’s parks and playgrounds are renovated, making each upgrade a win for the community and the environment. Stay tuned — more stations are on the way.
